Funding from the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia made possible the beginnings of an heirloom apple orchard at Bartram’s Garden, thanks to The Weeders. We were asked for recommendations for the hotel’s money. The hotel chose Bartram’s Garden and the need for an orchard. The trees were planted in the Fall of 2011. The S. L. Gimbel Foundation in California and The Garden Workers garden club provided additional funding in support of the project.
