Unfortunately, we had to cancel the trip to Brandywine Cottage tomorrow because we were unable to meet the minimum number of attendees required. Apologies to those who had signed up. We hope to plan something similar again in the future!
For those of you who couldn't make the meeting today, we are looking for 4 more people to sign up for the trip this Thursday, September 17th to Brandywine Cottage and Bondsville Mill Park!! We need a minimum of 10 people and have 6 signed up or we will have to CANCEL. It is $25 per person. If you have a guest that may be interested, please let BJ or myself know. Hope you can join!
Heads up ladies:
I was at Costco yesterday, 9/11, and bought tulips from Longfield Gardens at a cost of &15.99 for 50 bulbs. That's about 30 cents a bulb. I ordered some of the same varieties (like my favorite Foxy Foxtrot) earlier this summer for about $1.25/bulb. Now I don't know if they are the regular size they sell from the site, but this seems like a great deal. They had daffs and other small bulbs as well.
They also had a great selection of pumpkins, with the big white ones topping only $8.99, regardless of size. Smaller and orange pumpkins were less. Selection included Heirloom and Cinderella varieties.
Both bulbs and pumpkins were located near the entrance behind the registers. I'm sure they will fly out the door.

Ps these are my tulips I planted last fall from Costco. They looked fantastic and a few orange pansies survived from the fall and added a pop to the tulip bed.
